The Edwardsville Garden Club hosts a wide variety of programs and activities. Our meetings are held on the 1st or 2nd Saturday of each month at 12:00 noon. We have field trips or other activities on the 3rd or 4th Saturday each month. The EGC is also involved in many civic projects in the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon area. All programs, tours, and most activities are open to the public.

Edwardsville Garden Club Annual Fall Plant Sale
Saturday Sept 13th, 8AM-Noon
Location: St. Mary's Church Parking Lot. 1802 Madison Ave, Edwardsville, IL 62025
Close out the gardening year with some new plants! Fall is an excellent time to plant perennials and shrubs. We usually have a selection of unique perennials, native plants, shrubs, houseplants and tropicals. Most items are grown by EGC members. A general business meeting will follow the sale.
Garden Club Fieldtrip: Springfield Lincoln Memorial Garden

Garden Club June Meeting: Illinois Birds; The Effects of Landscape Changes on Birds and Plants
Saturday October 11, 12PM
Location: Glen Carbon Senior Center, 157 N. Main, Glen Carbon, IL 62025
Program: Tara Beveroth, an avian ecologist with the Illinois Natural History Survey, will be discussing how landscape use over time affects birds, plants, and insects.

Garden Club November Meeting: Herbalism
Saturday November 8th, 12PM
Location: Glen Carbon Senior Center, 157 N. Main, Glen Carbon, IL 62025
Program: Crystal Stevens, owner of Flourish Farmstead, will provide an introduction to herbalism. She will discuss medicinal herbs, basic botany and plant identification, harvesting and simple preparations.

Edwardsville Garden Club June Meeting
Saturday June 7th, Noon

Program: Monarch Habitat and Migration. Samantha Sorrick (Special Events Manager, City of O'Fallon) will discuss planting habitat for Monarch butterflies, their migration and local projects tagging the insects to follow them on their journey.
